Double sealed piston rods with additional wiper ensure clean operation, while the FKM (Viton®) seals installed as standard allow operating temperatures up to 180°C. The hardened and ground piston rod offers optimal protection and thus a long service life. The cylinder can be removed quickly and easily by means of a pull-off thread.
The build-in cylinder with flange is available from stock with piston diameters from 16 mm to 50 mm in various stroke lengths. The CAD data can be downloaded from the web shop with just a few clicks.
Installation
The compact and intelligently designed style of the build-in cylinder with flange allows for the smallest installation spaces so there is maximum flexibility in the mould design. Both surface or flush installation are possible.
For installation, a two-stage hole is made in the plate. This prevents the O-ring seal from being damaged by the transverse hole when installing the build-in cylinder.

Technical information
Hydraulic oil
Meusburger recommends the use of HLP 46 hydraulic oil (ISO viscosity class VG 46) according to DIN 51 524. If an oil with a lower viscosity is used this may lead to leakage.
Rinsing of the hydraulic system
Carefully rinse the hydraulic system before start-up, since dirt and chips from piping and plates can cause damage. Only fill the hydraulic system with clean and pure oil.
Synchronous operation
If the exact synchronisation of two or more cylinders is intended, a steady oil feed must be ensured.
Vents the hydraulic system
A hydraulic system has to be bled every time it has been modified or retrofitted. Even after the start-up of the system, it should be vented at regular intervals. Air bubbles in the system can impair function and cause damage.
Tip: Place the vent screws at the highest point of the hydraulic system.
Prevents lateral forces on the piston rod
To ensure smooth operation, no lateral forces should act upon the piston rod. The part to be moved must be guided. The piston rod must be decoupled from lateral forces by the coupler or another component.
Stamping applications
This kind of cylinder is not suitable for use with stamping tools.
