Thermal expansion of a mould base
If the heating is uniform, the plates expand from the centre in a ring shape. Flat guiding units, which are aligned to the centre of the plate, compensate for thermal expansion.

E 1315 – Flat guiding unit with final centring
- This robust and high-precision flat guiding unit with final centring takes over the function of the guide pillar and final centring.
- Optimum sliding properties and wear resistance due to DLC coated flat guiding stock. These can be replaced individually during mould maintenance if necessary – E 1317.

- Time saving through vertical machining from the split line face in one clamping operation.
- If necessary, the guide clearance can be increased by simply machining the flat guiding stock.

E 1320 – Flat guiding unit with final centring
- Space-saving version of E 1315
- Optimum sliding properties and wear resistance due to DLC coated flat guiding stocks
- Optionally, the E 1323 / E 1324 flat guiding stock can also be used with self-lubricating E 1322 gliding plate for flat guiding stocks with graphite inserts.
Information
Flat guiding stock with central bores – ideal for 3 plate moulds and suitable for two split faces.

- There is a risk of wedging when tightening the flat guiding stock. This is prevented thanks to the recessed installation of the higher flat guiding stock version.
- Cost savings through reversible flat guiding stocks with symmetrical geometry
- Space-saving variant of E 1315
- Optimum sliding properties and wear resistance due to DLC coated flat guiding stocks
